Connect PracticeHub to your Dataplayer account

Step 1: Get Your API Key
An API Key is a unique code that links your PracticeHub account with Dataplayer. To get your API key, follow these steps:
- Log into your PracticeHub account: Open your browser and go to the PracticeHub login page. Enter your credentials to log in.
- Navigate to Settings: Once logged in, look for the “Settings” option in the menu, and click on it.
- Go to the Developers Section: In the Settings menu, find and click on “Developers.” This will take you to a page where you can generate your API Key.
- Generate the API Key: On the Developers page, you’ll see a button that says “Generate API Key.” Click on it to create your unique API key.
- Copy the API Key: After generating the key, make sure to copy it. You’ll need this key.
Step 2: Find Your Account Domain
Your “Account Domain” is part of the unique web address (URL) you use to access PracticeHub. Here’s how to find it:
- Look at the URL in Your Browser: When you are logged into PracticeHub, take a look at the web address in your browser’s address bar.
- Identify the Account Domain: The Account Domain is the part of the URL before “.practicehub.io.” For example, if your URL is:
https://dataplayer.neptune.practicehub.io/dashboard
. Your Account Domain would be “dataplayer”. - Copy the Account Domain: Once you have identified your Account Domain, make a note of it.
Step 3: Find Your Region
The region you’re in determines the base URL that Dataplayer will use to connect to your PracticeHub account.
- Check Your URL for Region Information: From the previous step, you’ve identified your Account Domain. Now, check the rest of the URL to find the region.
- If the URL contains “Neptune”, your region is London.
- If you are unsure of your region, you can refer to the list of regions in the table at this link.
Step 4: Input the Information into Dataplayer
Now that you have your API key, Account Domain, and Region, you’ll need to enter this information into the Dataplayer Sign-Up Form:
- Go to the Dataplayer Sign-Up form and complete it with the necessary information. The username you set will be used to log in and cannot be changed afterwards, while the email address will be the main address connected to your account for all communications.
- In the next step, enter Your API Key: Paste the API key you copied earlier.
- Set Your Timezone: Select your time zone from the list. This ensures your account works according to your local time.
- Optional Question: You’ll be asked, “How did you discover Dataplayer?”. This is optional, so feel free to skip it if you don’t want to answer.
- Click “Next”: After filling in the required information, click the “Next” button to proceed.
- Enter Your Account Domain: Enter the Account Domain you identified.
- Choose Your Region: Select the correct region based on your URL.
- Select Your Currency: Choose the currency your business uses.
Once you’ve filled in all the fields, you have completed the setup process.
